About Rob Freeman

One of the best ways to solve a problem is to make it profitable to do so…

And the more people know about decarbonization strategies and profitable business models to help with climate change, the more likely they are to get involved and do meaningful work.

Background

After earning an MBA at Babson College I spent several years working in commercial real estate as a property manager and asset manager for a real estate investment fund in New York City…

I also started and sold several businesses… That was hard! Two were successful exits and one went under.

Throughout each business experience, I applied efficiency strategies while learning the value of sustainability to business success…

This led me to my current role as a professional business insurance broker in energy & climate technology. Today I help clean energy developers, IPPs, EPCs, manufacturers and contracting companies across the U.S. manage their commercial insurance and risk.

As a LEED AP, I’m proud to have served as a Board Member of the LEED-certified Ridgefield Library and as former co-chair of the Ridgefield Action Committee for the Environment (RACE).

I also worked with the Connecticut Green Bank to help pass CPACE financing legislation in my town of Ridgefield, CT.
